Welcome to the Barents Forest Forum 2023 to explore the multifaceted role of forests and balancing the forest uses in the Arctic region

The in-person Forum has limited seating capacity, and attendance is on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no participation fee for the event.
Organisers:
The Barents Forest Forum 2023 is financed by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland and is organised under the auspices of the Working Group on Barents Forest Sector (Friends of the Finnish Presidency) by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Finland Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) and Finnish Forest Centre.

Before the Barents Forest Forum, the ACAF project will organise a Youth Hackathon, at which young people from Barents will engage in discussions and debates on solutions for the future of forests. The outcomes of the hackathon will be presented and discussed during the Forum.

Registration for the Forum closes on 22th September 2023, but we recommend booking accommodation early to secure the best available option (see Practical Information)
